For Century Cruises (design completed 2025), MDESIGNS delivered Rivers Entwined—a ship‑wide concept that interweaves the Yangtze with all ten Danube nations. Our process combined cross‑cultural research, stakeholder workshops, and on‑site studies with material prototyping and AI‑assisted art development. Each venue is anchored in a specific Danube country and layered with Chinese heritage.
The result is an execution‑ready interior that turns story into service. In the Germany × Yangtze restaurant, ribbon‑like ceiling elements evoke dusk on water, a custom Axminster carpet traces braided river paths to guide circulation, and warm timber with beer‑gold glass creates a soft amber atmosphere while indirect light keeps faces warm and river views center stage. AI‑guided artworks merge Chinese ink landscapes with German Romantic cues and shared folklore (deer, snakes, birds), with embroidery‑like detailing in gold, yellow, and brown. Live‑cooking islands, flexible seating clusters, clear sightlines, and tray‑friendly aisles support fast resets and optimal service turn times—delivering a distinctive, operationally robust East‑meets‑West dining experience.

GREEN CRUISER | Fully Electric Cruise Ship
Developed for a Swiss Tour Operator, the Green Cruiser redefines premium short cruises with a fully electric, sustainable design. Leveraging our Re-Balance trend forecast, we prioritized eco-conscious innovation, researching demographics and onboard needs to create multipurpose spaces - like outdoor-focused suites and a centralized galley supporting diverse dining options.
The outcome is a groundbreaking concept featuring versatile public areas, a panoramic lounge, and a beach bar with jetski access, all optimized for exclusivity and comfort. This design aligns with the tour operator's vision for innovation, offering a scalable, green solution for the future of premium maritime travel.

BS Forklifts tasked Mdesigns with transforming their existing office building into a sophisticated, hotel-chic workspace. We reimagined the dated, cold space into an interior with international allure, reflecting the client’s global trade presence. From the minimalist lobby to the hedonistic restaurants, the versatile interiors offer a cohesive yet distinct ambiance, enhancing guest satisfaction and operational flow. Excellence Crown | New Build Hybrid River Cruiser
Commissioned by Concordia Damen, in close coordination with the shipowner, MDESIGNS delivered a color-driven interior—teal accents, warm neutrals, refined jewel tones—paired with clean geometry and tactile finishes. Dining, lounge, and cabin layouts are planned for quick turnover, clear circulation, and reconfiguration, maintaining a luxurious atmosphere without operational friction.
The experience is refined yet relaxed. A generous restaurant flows into intimate corners; lounges shift from day to night without rearranging the ship. Cabins read airy and uncluttered, with warm tones and thoughtful details. Everything is designed to feel welcoming on every voyage while staying practical for crew and efficient to maintain.
